Hello Connections !!!I'm thrilled to share my incredible experience with Dell's Hack 2 Hire program held at SMIT from 27th September 2023 to 29th September 2023. It all started when I got shortlisted after acing the online aptitude test on 14th September 2023. Our team was given the challenging problem statement of "Converting Indian Sign Language to Text," and we embarked on an incredible journey to solve it.Our journey began with a robust CNN model, trained from scratch on our own dataset. To make this happen, we leveraged cutting-edge libraries like Mediapipe, CVzone, TensorFlow, and more. But we didn't stop there; we fine-tuned and developed the model further using Google's Teachable Machine. And for good measure, we also explored an alternative approach using a Random Forest Classifier.The technical prowess of Team 10 shone through every step of the way. Our team, consisting of hansika shyamala, Rimjhim Shrivastava, Madhurjya Dasgupta, Thushara Shenoi, and I, collaborated seamlessly to bring our vision to life. Here's a glimpse of how we divided our roles:- Madhurjya, Thushara, and I spearheaded the model development and tirelessly explored various approaches to convert sign language to text. Their implementation of NLP in processing text was nothing short of remarkable.- Hansika and Rimjhim lent their design genius to develop the user interface. They worked diligently to craft a captivating design and layout that would enhance user experience.- Madhurjya played a pivotal role in integrating the project using Flask, ensuring that all components came together seamlessly.Our collaborative efforts paid off in spades. Not only did we achieve our technical goals, but our presentation also left a lasting impression. The sense of accomplishment was surreal, and we owe it all to the incredible opportunity provided by Dell Technologies.I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dell Technologies for affording us this platform to showcase our skills and creativity. It's these opportunities that fuel innovation and inspire young minds like ours to reach for the stars.
